A 30-year-old man is dead after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle on Dixon Rd. this afternoon.
The accident happened shortly after 12 p.m. at Dixon and Golfwood Heights.
Police say the motorcycle, a Yamaha racing model, was travelling westbound when it struck a vehicle completing a left hand turn.
The female driver of the vehicle suffered a few cuts and bruises, but did not require medical attention.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sgt. John Winter told CP24 that speed may have been a factor.
"At some point in time the motorcyclist went up between the four vehicles in front of him to pass them and we have an indication that speed was a factor," he said.
Dixon was closed between Islington Ave. and Royal York Rd. for several hours as police investigated.
