PETERBOROUGH - A Toronto man is dead after losing control of his motorcycle about 75 kilometres north of Peterborough.

Provincial police say the man was with three other riders on a county road near Gooderham on Monday afternoon when his bike crossed the centre line and ended up in a gravel ditch.

The driver lost control and was thrown from his machine.

Police say 27-year-old James Moonesar was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
