Police search for driver after east end crash
Police are looking for a driver after a crash early Monday morning in downtown Toronto.
Police said the incident happened when a vehicle travelling northbound on Parliament Street crashed into the back of a parked van.
Reports from the scene said the driver fled, leaving an injured female passenger behind.
The woman suffered a leg injury in the crash.
Alcohol a factor in pedestrian collision
Alcohol is being cited as a factor in a crash that sent one woman to hospital with multiple broken bones early Monday morning.
Police said a driver lost control of his vehicle, jumped the sidewalk and struck a pedestrian on Northtown Way, near Yonge Street and Finch Avenue, just after 4:30 a.m.
The woman was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The driver was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
He faces a number of charges, including impaired driving causing bodily harm.
