Police have arrested three Toronto men in connection with a mischief investigation.

Police allege the three men, carrying spray paint and cans, climbed onto the roof of a Queen Street West building on Monday evening.

Police said the three men then began painting, but were interrupted by a citizen who contacted police.

Police allege the accused intended to paint the word "SPUD."

The three men we subsequently arrested by police.

Jonathan Lupi, 24, of Toronto, is charged with prowl by night and mischief under $5,000.

Nathanial Rooyakkers, 29, of Toronto, is charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000 and prowl by night.

Shane Rumohr, 31, of Toronto, is charged with mischief under $5,000 and prowl by night.

The three are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning.
