CP24.com readers were asked to share their Remembrance Day stories with us, whether they participated in the war or grew up with a loved one in service. These are their memories and the photos that have defined their experience.

Memories

This is my grandfather Harrison William Craig - he died on Dec 2, 1942 .

He wasn't a war hero but died on the operating table as the result of a morphine reaction after having an appendectomy at a military hospital. He was 32.

He left four kids behind. The youngest - my dad and namesake who was 8 months old and only saw his father once.

I often wonder what he was like and what we missed by him not being in our lives....

That's my remembrance day.
