CP24.com readers were asked to share their Remembrance Day stories with us, whether they participated in the war or grew up with a loved one in service. These are their memories and the photos that have defined their experience.

Memories

I've attached a 2008 photo of my parents Ruth & Guy Chamberlin that was captured at the Remembrance Day memorial in Salmon Arm, British Columbia.

My parents at the time were 87 and 86 years of age respectively. They have both been very active members of the Legion all their adult lives. I really feel this captures the day with the expressions each of their faces and the bright pink umbrella protecting from the rain.

My mother sadly passed away in 2010, my father has relocated to Ontario and my sister and I have plans to take him to Ottawa for the National Ceremony next week.

I will try to capture pictures of the day to send, but really felt this was worthing sending.

Thank you CP24 for keeping the importance of November 11th alive.
