Memories

The attached photo is of my great uncle, William Gerald Blight.

He died on April 14, 1943 at the age 23. Taking off from R.A.F. Middleton St. George base at 9:09 p.m., he was apart of a huge force of 462 aircraft raiding Germany. 

Twenty-three aircraft were lost during this raid.
