One man arrested in Seneca College assault

Police have a 21-year-old man in custody after a 19-year-old man suffered a cut to his throat at Seneca College's York campus Friday morning.

It happened around 11:30 a.m.

Both men are students at the school, Toronto police said.

The 21-year-old has been charged with assault with a weapon.

Man charged with attempted murder

A Toronto man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a west-end shooting.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 near Blackthorn Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West.

The victim was travelling on a TTC bus in the area at the time and was followed off by two men.

One of the men allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired three shots directly at the victim, striking him in his neck, hand and leg.

The victim remains in hospital with critical injuries.

On Thursday, Bilal Mohammed Deeb, 19, was arrested and charged with attempted murder.

Police are still looking for a second suspect.

Deeb is scheduled to appear in court Friday afternoon.
