Two young men are dead after a single vehicle accident in Mississauga Friday night.

It happened just after 11 p.m. on Erin Centre Boulevard.

According to police, the men were killed when the 2004 Mazda RX-8 they were in rolled over, ending up on its side.

Some neigbours told CP24 that the area where the accident occured is notorious for street racing and police say speed may have been a factor.

"It is a long stretch and it is a fairly wide area, so I can see how possibly it could be a factor, but this investigation is still ongoing," Const. George Tudos said.

The victims are 21 and 24 years of age and have not yet been identified.

Police have not ruled out reports that suggest the men were trying to pass another vehicle at the time of the accident.

"Nothing has been brought to my attention with regards to that, but it's something we are still looking at," Tudos told CP24.
