Homicide detectives are investigating after a woman's body was found wrapped in a roll of carpet near Dundas and Keele streets.
Police say a male passerby found the body in a rear laneway on Clendenan Avenue, near Maria Street, around 12 p.m. The man called police, who sealed off the area with yellow tape.
An investigation is now underway to determine the cause of death.
"This investigation is just a few hours old and it would be improper for me to comment on the circumstances right now, but I will ask anyone in this area that has seen anything suspicious be it cars or people in the last 24 hours to call police," Det. Sgt. Peter Trimble told CP24.
