Despite a week that was filled with stressful union negotiations and the temptations of Super Bowl parties, Mayor Rob Ford has managed to shed another four pounds in his Cut the Waist weight-loss challenge.

Ford weighed in at 310 pounds at city hall Monday, down four pounds from a week ago and 20 pounds since the campaign began Jan. 16.

His brother, city Coun. Doug Ford, lost half a pound and weighed in at a little over 259 pounds.

The Fords made some progress in their weight-loss campaign during a week that culminated with last-minute contract negotiations between the city and the union representing its outside workers.

A tentative deal was reached Sunday morning after a marathon bargaining session.

Rob Ford previously said the week would be one of the toughest of the campaign because of Super Bowl Sunday – which for fans, is a day known for beer and artery-clogging snacks.

The Fords are crediting healthy eating and regular exercise for their weight loss.

As part of the campaign, the brothers are raising money that will be donated to the donor's charity of choice. Through a website, donors can contribute a dollar amount for every pound lost.

As of Monday morning, the Fords have raised almost $390 for every pound shed during the campaign.
