About 150 protesters took to the streets in Toronto's financial district Friday afternoon to protest what they describe as a "corporate-led austerity" agenda in the provincial budget.

Demonstrators met outside the provincial Ministry of Housing building at the corner of Bay and College streets at noon before marching to the King and Bay streets intersection where they blocked traffic for a short time.

The march featured speakers from a number of organizations, including the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty, the Canadian Union of Public Employees and Tenants for Social Housing, according to a press release issued Friday afternoon.

The protest began to disband shortly after 2:30 p.m.

There are no reports of any injuries or arrests.
