CLARINGTON - An investigation is underway into an alleged puppy mill operation in Clarington, east of Toronto.
Reports say 31 dogs were rescued Thursday after the Durham Humane Society received a tip and then raided a property.
The dogs were found in reportedly squalid conditions and have since been cleaned up.
The dogs range in age from nine weeks to four years and include Yorkshire Terriers, Corgis and several mixed breeds.
