A 37-year-old man is dead following a motorcycle accident on the Don Valley Parkway Friday afternoon.
Toronto police say the man was travelling northbound when he lost control of the 2011 Kawasaki motorcycle and struck a guardrail north of the Gerrard Street East bridge at around 2:45 p.m.
The driver was thrown from the motorcycle and onto the shoulder of the highway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's name has not been released.
Police believe the incident may have been witnessed by the driver of a black sedan, possible a Mercedes, as well as numerous other drivers in the area at the time.
