Peel Regional Police want to hear from people who witnessed a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and transit bus in Mississauga on Wednesday.

Police said Kyle Sayani, the 19-year-old motorcyclist, was killed in the collision, which occurred on Mississauga Road at about 6:30 p.m.

A 2000 Honda CBR 600 motorcycle was being operated at high speed when it crossed into the oncoming lanes and collided with a Mississauga Transit bus, police said in a news release.

Sayani died at the scene.

Investigators believe Sayani was travelling alongside another motorcycle, described as green in colour. The second motorcycle was also being operated at high speed, police said.

In addition to witnesses, investigators want to speak to the person who was operating the second motorcycle.

Police are setting up a command post near the crash scene, hoping it will encourage witnesses to attend and speak to investigators.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-453-2121 ext. 3710 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
