Despite comments made on his radio show over the weekend, it appears Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's dieting days are not done.

On Monday, Ford announced that he would continue his quest to shed pounds while speaking with John Tory on Newstalk 1010.

The comment comes just one day after Ford stated that his "Cut the Waist Challenge" had run its course, calling it "water under the bridge."

"I don't care about the weigh-in," said Ford, who turned 43 on Monday, during his radio show on Sunday. "I'm not even dieting anymore."

The challenge began in mid-January amid much fanfare.

At the time, the Ford brothers promised to step on the scale on a weekly basis as they tried to lose 50 pounds by June 18, but the weigh-ins soon became a semi-regular event, with a number of them being cancelled with no explanation.

Mayor has lost 16 pounds

Since the campaign began, Ford has lost 16 pounds, though he's hovered around the same weight for several weeks now.

At his most recent weigh-in on May 8, the mayor put on four pounds, weighing in at 314.

Doug Ford is down 28 pounds since the campaign began.
