BALTIMORE -- The Baltimore Orioles got the most of out of Manny Machado in his final game before a four-game suspension for charging the mound.

Machado had three hits, scored a run and played flawlessly in his return to third base, and the Orioles beat Toronto 4-2 Saturday to end the Blue Jays' four-game winning streak.

After the game, Machado said he would drop the appeal of his suspension for running down Kansas City right-hander Yordano Ventura after being struck by a 99 mph fastball on June 8.

The two-time All-Star will miss games Sunday through Thursday.

"We've got this process. It's done and over," Machado said. "I'll sit down for the four games and be ready to help this team get to the playoffs."

J.J. Hardy came off the disabled list and returned to shortstop for Baltimore. Machado, who had been playing the position during Hardy's absence, shifted back to third base.

"Like I never left," Machado said. "It was awesome. I love playing that position."

Jonathan Schoop went 3 for 4 with a homer for the first-place Orioles, who improved to 25-12 at Camden Yards.

Yovani Gallardo (2-1) came off the 15-day disabled list to allow two runs, five hits and four walks over five innings. The right-hander was pitching for the first time since April 22 after being sidelined with shoulder tendinitis.

"It's just good to be back out there once again. We got the win," Gallardo said.

Mychal Givens gave up one hit in two innings and Brad Brach worked the eighth before Zach Britton got three outs for his 21st save.

After the Blue Jays used a single and two walks to load the bases in the ninth, Britton got Josh Donaldson to hit into a game-ending 4-6-3 double play.

"We haven't been able to do anything against Britton, and we made a run at him," Toronto manager John Gibbons said. "It's uncharacteristic of him, you know, losing the strike zone, and we had the right guys coming up. It was one of those ballgames that could have gone either way."

Toronto had outscored its opponents 44-10 during its four-game run, including a 13-3 victory against the Orioles on Friday night.

Ezequiel Carrera homered for the Blue Jays, who lost for only the second time in nine games.

Knuckleballer R.A. Dickey (4-8) gave up three runs, two earned, and seven hits in six innings. The 41-year-old fell to 2-7 lifetime against the Orioles, including 0-5 with the Blue Jays.

Baltimore went up 2-0 in the first inning, getting one run on a fielder's choice and another when catcher Josh Thole couldn't handle a Dickey knuckleball with a runner on third base.

Carrera homered with one out in the third. Toronto then loaded the bases before Gallardo struck out Justin Smoak and Troy Tulowitzki, who was activated from the disabled list before the game.

Schoop made it 3-1 in the bottom half with his 11th homer. The drive came immediately after Carrera made a leaping catch at the right-field wall and doubled up rookie Joey Rickard at first base.

Toronto closed to 3-2 in the fourth when Devon Travis hit an RBI double. But Travis made the mistake of trying to stretch it into a triple with no outs and was thrown out at third.

The Blue Jays got only three hits the rest of the way.

Baltimore made it 4-2 in the eighth against Jason Grilli. Schoop and Machado singled before Mark Trumbo drove in a run with a fielder's choice.
