MONTREAL -- Tennis star Eugenie Bouchard is the landslide winner of the Bobbie Rosenfeld Award as the Canadian Press female athlete of the year.

She finished with 74 votes from sports editors and broadcasters across the country to capture the honour for a second straight year.

Freestyle skier Justine Dufour-Lapointe, bobsledder Kaillie Humphries and Canadian hockey goaltender Shannon Szabados were all received two votes each.

Bouchard had a phenomenal year on the WTA tour.

The 20-year-old from Westmount, Que., rose from 32nd in the rankings to fifth at one point before ending it at an impressive No. 7.

Along the way, she won her first career title, reached the Wimbledon final and made it to the semifinals of the Australian and French Opens.
