TORONTO -- Ricky Ray wants to remain with the Toronto Argonauts.

The veteran quarterback is among a large number of Argos scheduled to become free agents next February.

That group includes slotback Chad Owens and defensive end Ricky Foley, with all three veterans saying their top priority is to be in Toronto when the 2016 CFL season kicks off.

Toronto's nomadic 2015 season ended with a 25-22 loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the East Division semifinal Sunday at Tim Hortons Field.

Scheduling issues at Rogers Centre as well as the Pan Am Games forced the Argos to play 13 of its 18 regular-season games outside of Toronto.

The Argos posted a 10-8 record to finish tied for second in the East Division with Hamilton, but the Ticats got the higher playoff position after sweeping the season series 3-0.

The playoff game was just Ray's third start of the season as he spent the first half of the campaign recovering from off-season shoulder surgery.

Ray said he's looking forward to having a full off-season to strengthen the shoulder.

Ray joined the Argos in 2012 after being dealt by the Edmonton Eskimos and capped his first year in Toronto leading the club to victory in the 100th Grey Cup game at Rogers Centre.
