TORONTO - Toronto Raptors rookie Bruno Caboclo is heading back to the NBA Development League.

The Raptors announced Wednesday they were sending the Brazilian forward to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the D League, and he was expected to be in uniform Thursday when the Ants face the Grand Rapids Drive.

Caboclo played three games Fort Wayne in late December, averaging 4.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 13.0 minutes. He recorded 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 20 minutes in his first game December 27 at Iowa.

Caboclo made his NBA debut November 21 versus Milwaukee and scored a season-high eight points in 12 minutes of action. He shot two-for-three from beyond the arc with a rebound and a block against the Bucks. He has played a total of 16 minutes in four games with Toronto this season, recording eight points and two rebounds.

The Raptors picked Caboclo 20th overall in last summer's NBA draft.
