What would you do to make sure star Jays pitcher David Price stays in Toronto?

Amid contract rumours about what Price, 30, might be worth to the Jays, some dedicated fans have decided to let him know how much they value him.

A new website is offering fans a chance to say what they would do to sweeten the pot.

So far, there have been offers to take him golfing, to wash his car and walk his dog.

There have also been numerous offers for home-cooked meals.

“If David Price stays in Toronto, I, Matt Jones, agree to get my mom to make David Price lasagna,” one visitor to the site wrote. Another offered to cook him a “delicious pork adobo” if he stays.

Others have promised to stop boycotting overpriced food at the Rogers Centre and to give him a ride in a corvette.

More colourful posts include offers to chug shampoo, run around naked, and a promise not to stop singing an Adele song until Price agrees to stay.

Laurent Abesdris, who helped start the site, told CP24 Tuesday that it started with a phone call from a friend.

“I got a call from a friend who lives in California who’s an avid Jays fan who was sort of like ‘is there anything that the fan base can do to convince David Price to stay,’ Abesdris said.

That led to the creation of the site and the ideas started pouring in for new clauses in Price’s contracts.

“It’s been great. The responses have been really creative and fun and I think it’s a testament to the passion that Toronto Blue Jays fans have,” Abesdris said.

He said some of the ideas have also been somewhat unexpected.

“We had someone pose as Adam Sandler and offer to stop making movies. We had people posing as Donald Trump and offering to drop out of the race for president, things of that nature,” he said.

So far Price himself has been tightlipped about what he’ll do, though he did take a moment to joke with fans on Twitter this week that he’s leaving to play in Japan.

According to some reports, the left-handed pitcher is expected to fetch a deal that could be worth more than $200 million.
