LONDON, Ont. - David Booth scored the only goal in the shootout as the Toronto Maple Leafs edged the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 on Monday in NHL pre-season action.

Nazem Kadri, playing in his hometown of London, Ont., scored with 15 seconds remaining in the second period for Toronto, cutting Philadelphia's lead to 2-1.

Kadri would then set up the equalizer 1:39 into the third by threading a cross-ice pass to defenceman Tom Nilsson, who would rip a one-timer past Flyers goalie Anthony Stolarz.

Matt Read and Michael Raffl provided the offence for the Flyers, with Nick Cousins assisting on both goals.

Stolarz stopped 29 of 31 in 65 minutes, while the Leafs used two goalies.

Christopher Gibson made 11 saves on 12 shots in 31 minutes and Cal Heeter also had 11 saves on a dozen shots the rest of the way for Toronto. Heeter earned the win after playing in the Flyers system last year for the American Hockey League's Adirondack Phantoms.
