TORONTO - Byron Froese struck twice and Petter Granberg had four assists as the Toronto Marlies extended their win streak to five games by downing the Adirondack Flames 5-3 in American Hockey League action on Friday.

Ryan Rupert, Connor Brown and Matt Fratin also scored for Toronto (26-21-9). William Nylander chipped in with an assist.

Turner Elson had a goal and a helper for the Flames (28-22-5) and Brian McGrattan supplied the rest of the offence.

Marlies goaltender Christopher Gibson made 23 saves for the victory. Adirondack's Brad Thiessen stopped 22 shots.

Toronto was 0 for 4 on the power play while the Flames scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
