ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Carl Klingberg's goal at 19:04 of the second period stood up as the game winner as the St. John's IceCaps toppled the visiting Toronto Marlies 3-2 on Wednesday in American Hockey League action.

Eric O'Dell and Kyle MacKinnon put the IceCaps (6-8-5) ahead 2-0 after 20 minutes of play before Brett Findlay responded for Toronto midway through the second.

Greg McKegg added a third-period goal for the Marlies (5-9-1), who have dropped five games in a row.

Connor Hellebuyck turned away 28-of-30 shots for St. John's in his second victory against Toronto is as many nights. Antoine Bibeau made 20 saves for the Marlies.

The IceCaps went 0 for 2 on the power play while Toronto scored once on two chances with the man advantage.
