GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Matt Frattin scored twice and Garret Sparks made 39 saves Wednesday as the Toronto Marlies defeated the Grand Rapids Griffins 4-0 in American Hockey League action.

Mark Arcobello had a goal and an assist and Connor Brown also scored for the Marlies, who improved their league-best record to 35-8-2. Toronto has won four straight games and 11 of its last 12.

Brown has three goals in two games after missing 34 games with a broken ankle.

Jared Coreau made 19 saves for Grand Rapids (24-15-2).

Both teams were shut out on three power-play opportunities.
