Toronto police are searching for a suspect after an eight-year-old girl was sexually assaulted while walking to school Monday morning.

Police say the girl was approached and grabbed by a man in the Bramble Drive and Barrydale Crescent area, near York Mills Road and Leslie Street, at around 8:15 a.m.

The suspect indicated he had a weapon, although none was seen, police say.

The suspect is described as white, 19 to 22 years old, five-feet-six to five-foot-10 with black, spiky hair.

He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, black pants and black shoes.
