Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the brutal beating death of a man outside the Tasty Bite restaurant in Mississauga earlier this week.
Peel police say they are still looking for two more suspects who may have fled to India, their country of origin.
"The investigation is still ongoing and investigators are still attempting to confirm the identities of the outstanding parties," police said in a news release Friday afternoon.
Nitish Khanna, a 19-year-old Toronto resident, was beaten to death with a golf club.
He and two friends were at the Torbram Road restaurant at around 2 a.m. when they got into a verbal altercation with another group of men.
The two groups decided to settle the fight outside. Police say that's when Khanna and his friends were attacked by up to six men armed with rocks and golf clubs.
Khanna's friends managed to flee the fight without suffering serious injury. The teen was unable to escape and died at the scene.
Harsimran Singh Bal, a 19-year-old Brampton resident, has been charged with second-degree murder.
Daljinder Sidhu, a 24-year-old Toronto man, faces the same charge.
Both suspects appeared in court this week.
