Peel police are investigating two stabbings in Mississauga that took place late last night.

The incidents are unrelated but police say two people have been arrested, two people are in hospital and several suspects are on the run.

Police say there were first called to Hurontario, just north of the QEW at around 10 p.m. One man was stabbed, and was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

The man's condition has since improved and he is now in serious but stable condition, according Peel police spokesperson Const. George Tudos.

Two 17-year-old suspects were arrested near the scene. They have been charged with robbery, aggravated assault and theft.

Later that evening, at 11:50 p.m. officers were called to Jack Darling Park in south Mississauga.

One man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident. Police say five or six suspects fled the area on foot. Police have not been able to locate them.
