A Toronto police parking enforcement officer didn't break the law when they parked in a handicapped spot outside a Tim Hortons Tuesday night, police say.

CP24 viewer Melissa Goncalves sent us a photo of a cruiser parked in a handicapped spot near Caledonia and Orfus Roads at about 10 p.m.

Const. Wendy Drummond says the vehicle was not parked in an "authorized" disabled spot, which requires clear markings on both the ground and a posted sign stating the bylaw.

Without both markings, the spot isn't enforceable, she says.

Drummond does say police are still looking into the matter.
