Residents in and around the city are in for more of the white stuff this weekend.

According to CP24 meteorologist Chris Potter, the first wave of snow will likely arrive early Saturday morning, dropping anywhere from two to four centimetres.

A second wave of light, accumulating snow is expected to begin in the afternoon and continue through much of the evening.

Up to 10 centimetres of snow is expected in the Greater Toronto Area by Saturday night, Potter said. Areas southwest of the city will see smaller accumulations.

Environment Canada is predicting a high of -3 during the day, dropping down to -8 Saturday night.

Ice pellets and an icy mix of precipitation is also possible Saturday night before changing back over to snow for late Sunday morning, Potter said.

A high of -4 is expected Sunday.
