A woman believed to be in her 40s has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was stabbed in the neck Wednesday afternoon.

The stabbing took place at around 2:15 p.m. inside a Chinese restaurant on Dundas Street, near Spadina Avenue.

Toronto Police spokesperson Const. Tony Vella told CP24 the victim and a male suspect who was arrested at the scene are colleagues.

The two reportedly got into an argument in the kitchen of the restaurant.

Reports from the scene suggest both the woman and man were bleeding profusely.

Vella said two people have also been taken to a local police station for questioning.
