Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a woman’s body was discovered in Sarnia Wednesday morning.

Police say the body was discovered in a woodlot on Mandaumin Road, between Petrolia and Rokeby lines, at around 10:30 a.m.

Mandaumin Road is expected to remain closed overnight and through Thursday as police continue to investigate at the scene.

On Tuesday, Sarnia police issued a release regarding a missing 27-year-old Sarnia woman.

Police say Noelle Paquette was last seen in the Lochiel and Cristina streets area in downtown Sarnia after leaving a party located nearby.

She is described at five-foot-one, with a slim build and blond hair. She was last seen wearing a white Columbia jacket, black leather boots, black pants and a shiny black top.

Police have not made any connection between Paquette and the body discovered on Wednesday.
