The TTC is closing a stretch of its Yonge subway line this weekend so crews can do track work at College Station.

Workers have been closing the line for several weeks to build a new double crossover section of subway track at the downtown station.

To do the work, the Yonge line will be closed between Union and Bloor stations Saturday and Sunday.

Regular subway service will resume Monday.

During the closure, all trains on the University-Spadina line will turn back at Union Station, while trains on the Yonge line will turn back at Bloor-Yonge Station.

Shuttle buses will be running to ferry passengers between Rosedale and Union stations. Buses will stop at Bloor, Wellesley, College/Carlton, Dundas, Queen, King and Front/Bay streets, the TTC says.
