TORONTO - The lights are back on for thousands of Ontario's Hydro One customers after thunderstorms and strong winds knocked out power lines early this morning.

Hydro One says there are roughly 14,000 customers still affected by the outages.

About 22,000 homes were without power at the height of today's incident.

The utility says the largest outage was in the Georgian Bay and Muskoka areas, where 11,000 homes were affected.

Hydro One spokesperson Daniele Gauvin says that number is now down to 4,000.

A separate storm front knocked out power in eastern Ontario last night. About 11,000 people were affected at the height of last night's outages.

Gauvin says power should be fully restored by this evening.
