An "extensive" baseball hat collection and electronics were stolen during an armed home invasion in Ajax on Wednesday night, Durham Regional Police say.

Police said four males forced their way into a home, located near Salem Road and Taunton Road East, after a woman answered a knock at the door shortly after 8 p.m.

One of the males threatened the woman with a gun and physically restrained her as three other males entered the home. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

In addition to the baseball hat collection, the suspects stole a laptop, BlackBerry Playbook tablet and a cellphone.

Police were contacted at some point, but officers were unable to locate the suspects after they fled the home.

In a news release, police said one of the males is East Indian, in his late teens to early 20s and about five-foot-seven. He was wearing a dark-coloured winter parka and blue jeans.

Police released limited descriptions of three other suspects, who are male and believed to be in their late teens or early 20s.
