Arson is believed to be the cause of a two-alarm fire that caused significant damage at a Toronto restaurant Monday morning.

Toronto police and firefighters encountered heavy smoke at Roti Boys, located in a strip mall on Sheppard Avenue East near Pharmacy Avenue, shortly before 2:30 a.m.

Fire crews eventually brought the blaze under control.

The damage was contained to the restaurant, police said.

No injuries were reported.

It's believed the fire was deliberately set, police said.

Road closures have been lifted.
