CAMBRIDGE - An 11-year-old boy is dead after being injured by a service elevator in a small community north of Kitchener.
Waterloo regional police say they were called to a business in the town of Winterbourne on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency workers treated and stabilized the boy, who was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say the boy was airlifted to a Hamilton hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Ministry of Labour is continuing the investigation.
