Canadian rocker Bryan Adams has added his voice to the chorus of celebrities mourning the death of troubled singer Amy Winehouse.

The five-time Grammy-winning diva was found dead in her London home on Saturday at age 27.

Soon after the news broke, Adams took to Twitter to lament the loss of his friend.

"Dear Amy, you will be missed forever," he wrote. "All my love, RIP, Bryan."

In a statement provided to The Canadian Press, Adams said: "She was an enormously talented and sensitive woman. I will miss her greatly."

Adams had done his part to try to help Winehouse, who battled drug and alcohol abuse for years prior to her death.

In 2007, he reportedly invited Winehouse to spend Christmas at his Caribbean villa on the private island of Mustique, where she could recuperate away from the spotlight.

That same year, Adams photographed the beehived star for Hear the World, a non-profit organization meant to raise awareness about hearing impairment.
