Hello All,

I have committed to climb the highest peak in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro in July 2011, to raise funds and awareness for mental health. This initiative is very close to my heart since mental health affects certain people in my own family. As the need for adolescent psychiatry continues to grow, our children and teens are suffering from depression, suicide, eating disorders and drug abuse.

I am in full support of the expansion of the Markham Stouffville Hospital (The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinic). It provides an inviting space where children and adolescents feel welcomed and supported, not judged. A highlight of the new space will be an innovative Pediatric Day Hospital for youth in crisis, allowing patients to continue their schooling during short-stay treatment periods.

Your sponsorship in this climb will help raise awareness and funds to ensure that those who experience mental disorders receive access to the right care, right away, close to home.

Help me climb mountains for Markham Stouffville Hospital. Help me ascend the "Rooftop of Africa" and conquer the stigma of mental health by providing our youth with the understanding, care and treatment they need to live normal, healthy lives. My goal is to raise $30,000.00. And, every single dollar helps.

Many Thanks,
Bryce Wylde
