A Toronto Transit Commission bus driver could be facing charges after a female pedestrian was struck in North York Wednesday night, a representative with Toronto police says.

Toronto police Sgt. Duncan Miller tells CP24 that the pedestrian had the right of way when she was struck at Yonge Street and Finch Avenue shortly before 8 p.m.

She was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries to her head and face, police say.

The intersection has been closed down as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
