TORONTO - Actor Charlie Sheen has chosen his "tiger blood" intern and he's not a Canadian.

The fired "Two and a Half Men" star tweeted last week that Team Sheen welcomed Josh Burstein as its new social media intern.

The Los Angeles resident, who works for the Israeli government's economic mission to the U.S., beat 82,000 applicants.

One of them was Sepy Bazzazi, 25, who works in social media for Earls Restaurants in Vancouver. He tweeted his congratulations to Burstein.

Phil Pallen of Belleville, Ont., who was one of the final 50 candidates, ditched his bid last month and accepted an offer to work for "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest instead.

Burstein tweeted "Tiger blood, coarsening (sic) through my veins. Excited for the opportunity!"
