Diamond number one in Christie Pits Park has been renamed in honour of a local man who helped shape inter-county baseball in Toronto.
Jack Dominico and his late wife Lynne worked with the Toronto Maple Leafs baseball team for the past 40 years.
Christie Pits Park -- and now Dominico Field -- hosts the Toronto Maple Leafs semi-pro baseball team, the University of Toronto team and local high school games.
The field is located in the northeast corner of Christie Pits, and was christened with a new sign and a ceremony on Sunday.
