TORONTO - The City of Toronto has issued a heat alert for today.
People are encouraged to drink plenty of fluids and call or visit family and friends who are at a greater risk of suffering from heat-related illness.
Temperatures are expected to hit a daytime high of 33 C.
The heat alert is in effect until further notice.
It's the sixth heat alert issued in Toronto this summer.
There have also been five extreme heat alerts issued.
