Meetings and Events:

  • Coun. Maria Augimeri hosts a walk to thank the city's rescue and recovery workers on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 4 p.m. Meeting place: the Ancaster Community Centre.
  • St. Norbert Catholic School, located at 60 Maniza Road near the blast site, will host a meeting on Tuesday August 26 at 7 p.m. to discuss the status of the school's facilities. Students, parents and staff are invited. The meeting will take place in the school gym.

Asbestos Cleanup:

The City says it has completed its cleanup of the neighbourhood. Anyone with questions can call 416-338-7600.

If you find debris in your home, don't touch it -- call Toronto Public Health at 416-338-7600, or your insurance company, to determine appropriate cleanup measures.

Canada Post Mail Service:

Mail delivery to the evacuated area has been put on hold since the blast. CP24 has learned that all mail is being held at the Canada Post Distribution Centre at 2800 Keele Street. Residents can pick up their mail there at any time.
