The app gives users unparalleled access to top-rated coverage of the goings-on in Toronto and around the world, whether they're at home or on a bus or streetcar, to make sure they're in the know when they're on the go.
Users can also participate in daily polls and access winning lottery numbers with the click of a button.
The CP24 iPhone app launched Friday and it is already a success.
Thirty minutes after its launch, the app was handpicked as "New and Noteworthy" in Apple's App Store, eventually earning the No. 1 spot in the news category within the first 24 hours.
It didn't stop there, as the app quickly soared to No. 18 in the overall free apps category, beating out about 300,000 other entries.
Five-star rating
The application also received a perfect five-star rating.

With the creation of the CP24 iPhone App, CP24 is entering the mobile market for the second time. CP24's previous mobile site, CP24.com, is available to all mobile devices and currently garners more than one million hits a month.
