A dog has died this morning after it was electrocuted by a faulty hydro line buried in the ground near Keele and Anette Streets.

Firefighters performed CPR on the five-year-old Lab-Poodle mix for 20 minutes at the scene, but were unable to save the animal.

The faulty pole has been repaired, Toronto Fire says, and there's no risk to people or pets in the area.

It's the second dog to have been electrocuted in two weeks.
