Below is a list of events and parties going on during Toronto Pride Week 2009.

Free Zone events:

The Free Zone (alcohol and drug free) is located at The Paul Kane Parkette (on Wellesley Street East between Yonge and Church Streets).

Saturday June 27 - The Community Caf�, starting at 11am. The Community Caf� provides community and non-profit groups with a public forum to expand their role in the community, educate the public about their mission, recruit volunteers and garner support for their cause. The day will also include performances and services from the local queer and queer-friendly communities.

June 27 - 8pm-12midnight, The Indie Segment takes place at the South Stage (Church and Wood Streets) with performances by KIDS ON TV, Gentleman Reg, Hooded Fang and headliners for the evening - Islands.

Sunday, June 28 - The Pride Lounge with performances by Emma McKenna, Michael Caplan, The Good Lovelies, The Maisies, Nathalie Nadon, Luke McMaster, Michelle Mondesir and a late night film screening of General Idea's film General Idea: Art AIDS and the Fin de Si�cle.

June 28 - Return of THE RAVE at the South Stage, from 5 pm-11pm. Hosted by Don Burns, performers confirmed to appear include Adam K & Soha (with Jeremy Carr), Robb G, DJ TK (aka RAMLOVER) and Deko-ze.

Dyke Day events:

Saturday June 27 is a celebration of all things female, lesbian, trans and queer at the annual Dyke March and Dyke Day Afternoon celebration. Join 2009's Honoured Dyke Faith Nolan and the Honoured Group The Toronto Roller Derby League at the Dyke March starting at 2pm then stick around for Dyke Day Afternoon.

Hosted by Carole Pope with a line-up of talent to be held at Pride's South Stage from 2pm - 8pm.

Family Pride events:

Family Pride sets up camp on the grounds of the Church Street Junior Public School (83 Alexander St at Church Street) offering family-friendly activities and events. From crafts and games, to face painting and live children's entertainment, there will be all kinds of fun for the entire family.

June 27, 28: The Happy Moon Show" with jennielea on both Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am-12:30pm; Juno Award Nominee Chris McKhool makes a special appearance on Saturday from 1pm-2pm; and both days of Family Pride feature a H2O Zone, a Style Zone, a Bouncy Castle, an arts and crafts area and, a new addition this year, a Storytelling Corner.

There are two picnic brunches scheduled for the weekend with The LGBT Parenting Network sponsoring the picnic on June 27 and The 519's Queer Parenting Programs hosting the brunch on June 28. The brunches take place from 11am-2pm.

Fruit Loopz events:

Saturday June 27: Featuring some of Toronto's most talented young musicians, comics, filmmakers, dancers, DJ's, singers and spoken word artists, all under 29 years of age, Fruit Loopz '09 takes place on two stages this year: Buddies In Bad Times Theatre (12 Alexander Street) in Tallulah's Cabaret beginning at 1pm and then the fun moves outside to The Alexander Street Parkette at 4pm.

Drag kings and queens performances on Village Stage:

The always-popular Village Stage returns to Pride Toronto featuring drag kings, drag queens as well as a healthy dose of burlesque, comedy, music and dance. Performances take place from 4pm - 10pm on both Saturday June 27 and Sunday June 28. The Village Stage is located at the infamous corner of Church and Wellesley.

transAction events:

Saturday June 27: transAction takes to the stage with DJ's, classical musicians, singer / songwriter MacKenzie MacBride, DJ Nik Red and two spotlighted artistic collaborations that will hold you transfixed and transformed: Colour Me Dragg and The Good Asian Drivers. Programmed by S. Bear Bergman and Nik Red, transAction takes place in the George Hislop Parkette from 3pm-11pm.

FunkAsia events:

Friday June 26: Join DJ Zahra from 7pm - midnight at the South Stage (Church and Wood Streets) at Pride Week 2009.

Blockorama event:

Sunday June 28: Pride Toronto and Blackness Yes Committee presents Blockorama from noon to 10pm at George Hislop Parkette, (east of Yonge between Charles and Isabella Streets).

Parties:

Thursday June 25 - Libido, a fundraiser for Pride's annual Dyke March with super fly DJ's Denise Benson and Sleaze. Also appearing is 2009 Honoured Dyke Faith Nolan. Location: The Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen Street West) from 9pm. $15.00.

Saturday June 27 - Cherry Bomb With Love (the official Dyke Day after party!). DJs Denise Benson + Cozmic Cat are joined by two fresh queer artists from Philly: up 'n coming hip-hop emcee Bennie and tag-teaming DJ crew Fuse. From 9pm to 3am at Revival (783 College Street) $12 advance / $15 at door.

Sunday June 28 - The 5th annual Big Primpin Special Pride Party Edition at The Phoenix (410 Sherbourne Street). In the main room Big Primpin' DJs Tuff Luv, Phil V and Rory Them Finest, spinning Hip-Hop for HOMOS, their friends and admirers. Hosted by Miss Margot and featuring a special performance by the Legendary GIA and an old-school runway showdown. In the parlour don't miss Cosmic Disco Haven, Love Saves The Day with Will Munro and Jaime Sin. Admission $10

June 28 - PRIDE 2009 Official Closing Night Party at Wrongbar (1279 Queen Street West) 10pm. Admission $10.
