Why I'm the best candidate: Angela Salewsky

I entered politics because I want something better.  Like so many others, I’m tired of the politics as usual, and I want better than the self-serving political maneuvering, the hyper-partisan and cynical politics, the scandal and hypocrisy that has recently dominated our political stage and left us exasperated and disillusioned. I believe our politicians have lost touch with the electorate. It’s time to hold our representatives and our political parties accountable.  Unfortunately candidates from the status-quo parties will need to tow their respective party lines. It will be the usual suspects playing the usual political games at the electorate’s expense.

But I am free of all of that.  If elected, I have no political baggage to impede me or distract me from focusing on serving my constituents, introducing good policy initiatives and voting on motions according to the needs of the riding and according to my own conscience.

I understand accountability.  In my career as a Business Development Manager, I need to be able to identify and understand my customers’ issues, find a solution that meets and exceeds their expectations, and deliver that solution at a reasonable cost.  Unlike career politicians, if I mislead my customers, oversell and under deliver, I lose out on business and my livelihood.  80% of my job is listening, understanding and evaluating, skills that are necessary as an MPP.

I have been a resident of Etobicoke-Lakeshore for 16 years. I know that by being elected as the MPP for my riding, I would be there to be of service to my constituents, and not to use this privilege to be self serving.  I will work diligently to advance our interests, address our concerns and find ways to build consensus.

We need better than politics as usual.  I can offer that.

P.C. Choo

In this by-election, voters have a choice. They can choose someone who will deliver results and hold the government accountable, or they can choose a politician who ignores the real challenges families face and does not deliver for you.
