Why I'm the best candidate: P.C. Choo

In this by-election, voters have a choice. They can choose someone who will deliver results and hold the government accountable, or they can choose a politician who ignores the real challenges families face and does not deliver for you. The Liberals put their own interests ahead of the people of this province, while the Conservatives played politics and have ignored the priorities of Ontarians. The NDP has delivered results for people of Ontario, and I will deliver results for the people of Etobicoke-Lakeshore.

For too long, we’ve seen unaccountable governments put themselves first and fail to deliver for our community. From the gas plant scandal that’s cost us over half a billion dollars, to cutting the $1.4 Billion Transit City plan which cancelled rapid transit from Port Credit to Union Station, the Liberal government has put their own priorities first and left families behind.

The Liberal plan gives away billions to corporations that cut jobs. That’s good for the CEOs, but not good for families or young people struggling to find work. We believeonly companies that create jobs and invest in technology should get help.

Voters can send a message to the Liberals: stop wasting our money, pay attention to our priorities, create jobs, and deliver for the people of Etobicoke-Lakeshore.

As a school trustee and a Governor at the University of Toronto, I have worked hard to make government accountable, and to get results that will make life better for families. Now, I want to make Queen’s Park accountable to Ontarians and to the residents of Etobicoke –Lakeshore.

This by-election will give the citizens of Etobicoke-Lakeshore an opportunity to choose an MPP who is committed to hard work, accountability, and delivering results.

At Queen’s Park, I will work to put the needs of Etobicoke–Lakeshore families first. I am committed to getting results that will make people’s lives better.

It’s time to deliver results for people in tough times: restoring provincial contribution to municipal transit costs, reducing home care waits, making smart investments to help small businesses and create jobs, and ensuring real accountability at Queen’s Park.

Angela Salewsky

I’m tired of the politics as usual, and I want better than the self-serving political maneuvering, the hyper-partisan and cynical politics, the scandal and hypocrisy that has recently dominated our political stage and left us exasperated and disillusioned.
