CTVNews.ca will deliver comprehensive coverage of the nation’s 45th election on Monday, April 28.

Live election results and breaking news updates will be available on all platforms at CTVNews.ca, along with in-depth analysis and on-demand video.

The election special will be live-streamed on CTVNews.ca, CP24.com, BNNBloomberg.ca, the CTV News app, the CP24 app, the BNN Bloomberg app, and YouTube while Canadians can follow the action and analysis online with live updates and results on CTVNews.ca, capturing up-to-the-minute results and historic moments throughout the night.

CTVNews.ca will also feature an interactive results map allowing visitors to monitor real-time election results from their own riding and across the country. Whether on desktop or a mobile device, the map can be used to see how party leaders and cabinet ministers are faring, and to bookmark key ridings for easy reference. The live status bar at the top also helps visitors keep track of confirmed seats as they’re called.

Live updates will include commentary and analysis from political stalwarts James Moore, Scott Reid, Tom Mulcair and Melanie Paradis, as well as a team of federal election writers and breaking news updates from national correspondent Rachel Aiello.

When does our election coverage begin?

CTV Election 2025 will begin at 7 p.m. EDT (4 p.m. PDT). It will be co-anchored by Omar Sachedina, CTV National News’ chief anchor and senior editor, and Vassy Kapelos, CTV News’ chief political correspondent. The special will run on CTVNews.ca, the CTV main network, CTV News Channel, CP24, BNN Bloomberg, the iHeartRadio Talk Network, and on YouTube.

CTV News reporters will be positioned across the country in key battleground ridings to cover the stories as they happen.

Political strategists Scott Reid, Kory Teneycke, and Kathleen Monk will be part of an in-studio expert panel. CTV Your Morning anchor Anne-Marie Mediwake will also moderate a discussion between political contributors James Moore, Christy Clark, Thomas Mulcair, Harjit Sajjan, and Rona Ambrose.

CTV National News anchor Sandie Rinaldo will be joined by iHeartRadio personalities John Moore and Bill Carroll, and CTV News chief financial correspondent Amanda Lang will also contribute to the special coverage.

CTV News weekend anchor Heather Butts will be in studio, joined by pollster Nik Nanos and demographics analyst Rupen Seoni.

CTV News anchors from six local stations will regularly join the broadcast to provide regionally specific results and storylines as the night evolves. These include: Todd Battis from CTV News Atlantic; Mutsumi Takahashi from CTV News Montreal; Patricia Boal from CTV News Ottawa; Michelle Dube from CTV News Toronto; Tara Nelson from CTV News Calgary; and Mi-Jung Lee from CTV News Vancouver.
